Ryan Dublin handles personal data every time someone browses, orders or writes to us. This page sets out what we hold, why we hold it, and what you can require of us.

The controller

Your data is controlled by USEEMALL LTD, Conyngham Road, Manchester, England. The company trades as Ryan Dublin.

Shopify supplies the platform the store runs on and processes data on our instructions, except where a supplier acts as an independent controller for a service of its own.

Categories of data

Given by you: name, email address, phone number where supplied, billing and delivery addresses, order contents and history, account credentials, and the substance of your messages to support.

Gathered as you browse: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, timestamps, pages opened, items viewed or added to the basket, the referring site, and identifiers set by cookies and comparable technology.

Received from others: payment status, a transaction reference and the final digits of a card from our payment providers; delivery progress from carriers; measurement data from advertising and analytics providers where consent allows it. We never receive a full card number.

Purposes

Taking, processing and delivering orders. Taking and verifying payment. Keeping you informed while a parcel is in transit. Handling returns, faults, complaints and disputes. Detecting and preventing fraud, misuse and unauthorised payments. Meeting accounting, tax and other statutory duties. Improving the store. Marketing and advertising measurement, where you have agreed to it.

Lawful bases under the GDPR

The GDPR applies to this processing and we rely on four bases. Performance of a contract covers everything needed to take and deliver your order. Legal obligation covers accounting and tax records. Legitimate interests covers fraud prevention, the security of the service, and keeping evidence of enquiries and legal claims. Consent covers optional cookies, analytics, personalised advertising and marketing email — and consent can be withdrawn whenever you like.

Cookies and similar technology

Strictly necessary cookies run the basket, secure the session and process payment; without them the store does not work. Analytics, functional and marketing technologies only activate once valid consent has been given.

Change or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings on this site. Withdrawal has no retroactive effect on processing that was lawful when it happened. For every cookie in use we can supply the name, the provider, the purpose, the duration and which third parties can read it — ask and we will send the current list.

Recipients

Data is shared only where necessary and only on a valid basis. Recipients include Shopify as platform provider; our payment providers; warehouse and fulfilment partners; carriers, including An Post; our email and helpdesk suppliers; Google, where Google Analytics or Google Ads are used; Meta, where the Meta Pixel is used; hosting, IT and security suppliers; accountants, auditors and professional advisers; and public authorities where the law requires disclosure.

We do not sell personal data.

Children

This store is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly gather their data for marketing. If you believe a child has given us information without proper authorisation, tell us and we will erase it.

Security and retention

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted transport, access control, least-privilege internally, and suppliers who maintain equivalent safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise.

Order and accounting records are held for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Support, return and complaint records are kept while a case is live and afterwards for as long as needed to evidence it or handle a claim. Marketing data is held until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. Cookie and analytics data follows the periods published in the cookie settings. Anything no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may ask to be informed about our processing; to access your data and receive a copy; to have inaccurate or incomplete data rectified; to have data erased; to have processing restricted; to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time; to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller; to withdraw consent; and not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Rights can be limited in particular circumstances, and we may need to verify your identity first. Requests go to support@ryan-dublin.com, and we answer without undue delay and in any event within one month.

Although this store serves the European Union, our position on privacy is the same wherever a customer sits. Residents of California are entitled under the CCPA and CPRA to know what is collected and why, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. Where a browser transmits a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser and device.

Complaints

Raise it with us first at support@ryan-dublin.com. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State where you live or work. In Ireland this is the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28. In the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner's Office.

International transfers

Some suppliers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where a destination has no adequacy decision from the European Commission, the transfer runs on the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the United Kingdom equivalent, with any supplementary measures the case requires. For certain recipients in the United States the EU–US Data Privacy Framework may apply where they hold a valid certification. The United Kingdom itself is covered by an adequacy decision. Ask us and we will tell you which mechanism applies to a given supplier.

Amendments

This policy changes when our services, our suppliers or the applicable rules change. The current version carries the date at the top, and where a change is significant we say so properly rather than quietly.
