Payment Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
How payment works at Ryan Dublin: what we take, in what currency, and what happens to your card details.
What we accept
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Maestro
- American Express
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Shop Pay
That list is exhaustive and it matches the payment icons shown on the site. If a method is not named above, it is not available at our checkout.
Currency and taxes
All prices are displayed and charged in euro (EUR), inclusive of VAT and any other mandatory charges where they apply. Applicable taxes and fees are calculated and presented at checkout before you confirm, so the total you approve is the total that is taken.
Where your card or account is held in a different currency, your own bank performs the conversion at its rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. Those charges belong to your bank. We neither set them nor receive them.
Payment comes before dispatch
Nothing is picked or packed until payment has been confirmed. An order whose payment has not cleared stays on hold.
When you pay by card the amount may be reserved at the moment you place the order, with the charge settling afterwards.
How the transaction is secured
The site runs on an encrypted SSL connection throughout. You can verify that yourself — the padlock in your browser and the HTTPS prefix in the address bar are both visible on every page.
Payments themselves are processed by providers certified against the PCI DSS standard. Full card numbers never reach us and are never stored by us. What we hold is limited to billing and delivery details, order contents, payment status, a transaction reference and the last four digits of the card — enough to reconcile a payment, not enough to make one.
Payment data and privacy
Payment-related personal data is never sold, rented or traded. Our full approach to personal data is in the Privacy Policy.
Refunds
A refund always returns to the method used for the original payment; it cannot be redirected to a different card or account. Timings and conditions are set out in the Returns & Refund Policy.
Declined payments
Our providers run automated fraud screening, and either that screening or your own bank can refuse a transaction. We cannot see your bank's reason — only they can tell you. If a payment you believe is legitimate is refused, write to us and we will look at it from our side.
Chargebacks and fraud checks
Unauthorised or fraudulent chargebacks are contested, and we submit the carrier's delivery evidence when we do. Orders that trigger our fraud checks are held for verification; we contact you before cancelling anything and release a genuine order as soon as it is confirmed.
Changes
If our accepted methods or our providers change, this page is updated and so is the date at the top.
